Health. How Much Is your’s Worth

Welcome to health , how much is your’s worth and that is a very good question that everyone at some stage before it is too late should ask themselves. I mean honestly have you asked yourself that question before you were told by the doctors ,oh we are sorry there isn’t a lot we can do for you if only you had taken better care of yourself earlier on. The next thing to ask is what is the meaning of health well I will just pick up my trusty pocket english dictionary, yes I hear you there is no need to shout just Google it, I could do that but because my eyes and my mind are parts of the things I include in my health plan I will do it the old-fashioned way and just look in my pocket dictionary thank you so yell all you like.

Health:  Soundness of body, mind and spirit.  d the general condition of the body.   c. condition or state generally.

Okay now that’s pretty straight forward I should think, it doesn’t say anything about starving yourself or being an elite athlete just a sound body, mind and spirit. Now there are lots of ways to take care of the first 2 body and mind and I believe you need these 2 to be of good health even before you go to work on the spirit.

I also believe you need both the mind and body to be healthy so you can function at an optimum level. My reasoning is Un-healthy mind leads to Un-healthy body. By un-healthy mind I mean bombarding your mind with negative mindset and crippling it with useless mind altering drugs and these can be everything from illegal to prescription to general every day products like to much sugar, coffee and caffeine products. I believe that when you weaken the ability for your mind and I prefer to call it the central soul  you have no chance of keeping your body healthy.

So what can you do!  there are so many things you can do and one of them is if you are prone to addiction or suffer high levels of sadness, depression or negativity stop drinking alcohol, you won’t die from not drinking it and it is a depressant anyway so if your already depressed why add to it. Cut down on coffee and tea as too much caffeine can attack the central nervous system increasing levels of anxiety thus adding to your depression. If you can do just this for your mind and make the change permanent you will gradually over time start to notice a difference, Remember we have spent years abusing our mind and body inside and out so now it’s going to take a while to heal it.

    • Thank you for your insight. I have never blogged before so I am really new to the concepts and ethics that surround blogging. So I do appreciate constructive comments.
