Rest and Relaxation required for Sanity
My sanity or mental health is very important to me so I can function with a rational thought process from day-to-day and it should be important to you. I am not going to go on with a big in-depth rant on sanity, mental health and all that is required for peak performance in this area.
Instead I want to share with you a moment from last week. Last week was a very hard week and there was a lot of tough stuff going on. Yes I did feel overwhelmed at times and yes all the obscure thoughts went through my head I am human just like you.
So rest and relaxation came into play last week at a time of extreme pressure. I put down my pens, knives and everything else I was doing and said to myself screw it enough is enough. I stood up and went out into the yard and played ball with our dog Sandie.
Sandie was around 1 year old when she came to us as a foster dog from the Australian Working Dog Rescue. It was not long before she won our hearts and decided we were her family now. So we adopted Sandie into our dynamic family unit and I can honestly say we are all so much better for it.
Below are some photo,s of the 30 minutes I took to clear my head, alleviate the frustration and just enjoy the love from my best friend. I hope they brighten your day. We all need a moment to smile 🙂
I had so much fun and the sun was bright but warm. I really should have left the stress and frustration behind and walked away sooner. How ever the 30 minute break just spending time with Sandie was worth more than all the gold in the world. It is truly amazing the difference on your outlook when you can learn appreciation of enjoyment from some of the simplest things in life
